Start the Year Outside – Walk & Talk with Us

The Walk & Talk Festival returns this January across all of Lochaber. We’ve planned more than 20 guided meet-ups, walks and get-togethers to lift the post-Christmas blues, boost mental¬-wellbeing and reconnect with friends – old and new.

Join us for the 2026 January Walk & Talk Festival

Why walk & talk? Fresh air, gentle movement, and connection with others are a proven to improve our mood and for help with Seasonal Affective Disorder. This January we’re offering more walks than ever, from short amble-style strolls to more ambitious outings, all local, inclusive and free to join. Scroll down to find a Walk near you.

We like giving ourselves something to aim for, and so this year, we’re going to try beating our mileage count from last year. In January 2025 we walked 803 miles in total! Cubs and Beavers in Mallaig and in Strontian got involved. We had little walks and big walks with two and four legged companions. It was a lot of fun, and we were more than chuffed with our mileage total. Maybe this year we can go a little higher? If you’d like to count your miles and add them to the grand total, please download the mile tracker form here and email it back to info@ewensroom.com.
