Youth Groups
We run two WellBeing Youth Groups in Lochaber: FriendsDay Wednesday in Acharacle and Youth Rugby in Mallaig. Our Youth Groups offer children a chance to socialise, get creative and share their worries and passions in a safe, supportive environment.
Acharacle: FriendsDay Wednesday
FriendsDay Wednesday is running every Wednesday from 3:30pm – 5:30pm at Acharacle Community Centre. It is open to all pupils from P1 to S6. Its aim is to bring young people together in a safe and warm space, to enjoy activities and games with free snacks and drinks provided. If you would like to find out more about this service, please contact us at info@ewensroom.com. The afterschool club takes place every Wednesday during term time and is led by our Education Officer Calum.
Mallaig: Youth Rugby
Youth Rugby in Mallaig runs every Sunday from 10 AM to 11.30 AM at the Astro Pitch in Mallaig. The first half hour (10 AM to 10.30 AM) is dedicated to the youngest players from 3 years onwards to P1. From 10.30 AM onwards P1 to P7 are invited to tackle, run and throw to their hearts content.
All Youth Groups are somewhat weather dependant and may not run during school holidays. To be sure, please keep an eye on our social media or contact us.
